Are You on the Lonely Road

The other day I had a friend who was saying how lonely she was and how she doesn’t have any friends. I looked back and realized that when I left the country I grew up in, I was walking down the lonely road. But was I really lonely?

Let’s consider how Jesus walked. Even though Jesus was always surrounded by people, yet He was alone. In the most crucial hour, His disciples couldn’t stay up with Him for an hour.

I want to thank God for all the friends and family. But believe me when I say that there is no one that can understand and love you like our Lord Jesus.

It is no excuse for us to feel isolated or alone, even when those that we put our trust on fail us.

I woke up one morning with this thought which I tweeted, “Once you get the revelation of what it is to be in the presence of God, you just wouldn’t want anything else in this world. He becomes your everything.”

Think of those days when you first came to Jesus, when all you could do is think and speak about was Jesus. During my college days, I remember writing His name on all my books like He was my boyfriend. Yes, He was so real and still is, right beside me.

I believe the Lord is calling some people out there to get back to those days where Jesus was enough for you. When church was fun because you didn’t want to miss hearing from God. God is calling us back to His first love, where He is our world and not be distracted by the worldly things.

And like the lyrics of one of the songs my hubby wrote recently, which says, “I am never alone, I can never be alone.”
Yes you can never be alone because Jesus is by your side. He is more than enough.

Next time you feel lonely remember what He promised, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” -John 14:18 This is God drawing you closer to Him so that He can be your everything. Will you let Him be your everything?

Moses was another man who walked with God and he was alone too. He had only one desire, to see God’s glory.

When you walk this road alone with God, you are handed over the great opportunity to know the secrets of His heart.

What more can we ask in this world than the amazing privilege of knowing the Creator of this universe personally. You are not alone, ever.

Pray with me, “Dear Jesus, you are all I want in this world. Help me walk pure and holy before your eyes. There is nothing else that I want. Whether you use me or not, let me know your heart. Help me be sensitive to you. Thank you for being my friend forever. Amen.”
