In my initial days of my spiritual life I use to wonder if God was actually listening to my prayers. This thought bothered me because of some unanswered prayers. Disappointed, I decided to stop praying for certain issues assuming that God will do it in His time.
One day while attending a service the Lord spoke through a man of God saying, “There is a sister here who feels that her prayers are not being answered, but the Lord says that He listens to all your prayers.” Wow, I knew it was me that the Lord was speaking about. I was embarrassed inside but glory to God, the Lord opened my eyes.
The Lord led me to the scripture in 1Peter 3:12 that says, “For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer…”
Another time, the Lord gave me this wonderful scripture from Psalms 18:6 which says, “In my distress I called upon the LORD; to my God I cried for help. From His temple He heard my voice, and my cry to Him reached His ears.” This verse assured me that the Lord is listening to all our prayers be it big or small. All our cries are important to God.
His Word never lies. Yes some prayers are delayed, but it does not mean it is denied.

Otherwise God would not ask us to pray. God wants us to pray and ask, believing that He is a prayer answering God.
He is a good God! The devil doesn’t want us to pray because he knows how powerful prayers can be and he himself knows that God listens to our prayers.
My dear friend never give up praying – to give up praying is to give up trusting God. Trust all His answers whether it is favourable or not. And most importantly submit your prayers to His sovereign will.
So let us pray, hope and believe with all our might.
