Proclaim My Word

by | Mar 23, 2016 | Encouraging

7 years back while I was sitting on the bus on my way to work, I clearly heard the Lord tell me, “Proclaim my Word.”

Each and every one of us is so unique and what we carry is so unique. In the eyes of our Master we’re all the same, there’s not one more important than the other.

It’s very important that you find out what your gifts are and what the Lord wants you to do. I don’t think anyone is called to sit and do nothing. It’s time to go beyond.

Being a Minister’s wife is a calling in itself. Even though my husband is seen more in the front lines, it doesn’t mean my calling is any less or less important. If we can learn to accept our calling and run with it, that will help us in the long run from many disappointments.

Every gift in the body is useful.

For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.(Romans 12:4-8)

But, there’s no point in having a mighty calling and doing nothing about it.

Without a vibrant prayer life, it doesn’t matter if you have all the gifts. [tweet this] Sometimes you can be so good at something but if you don’t have a prayer life it just becomes an act. [tweet this]

There are people that just function out of the the gifts and that’s it.

The gift given to you by The Lord is not something to boast about. No matter the gift you have, what’s important is to maintain a constant time of consecration to the Lord in prayer and in His word.

Also find ways at your local church to serve. Start by serving the church and your pastor in any ways possible. Jesus being the Son of God did come to be served, but to serve!

If God has called you to preach and you don’t read your Bible, how will you get the contents and revelations to preach in the first place? We do the soaking part and God does the using part. Just like Esther in the Bible. Before she could meet the King, there was a process of waiting and soaking herself. It is in that process that God prepares us for our destiny.

Yes, it’s also true that He doesn’t use us simply because of our prayer lives alone, rather He uses us because of His grace and the calling on our lives.

Prayer and meditating on the Word will unleash things in the spirit that will help you go boldly and confidently to proclaim His name wherever He calls you. [ClickToTweet]

The Lord looks for a willing heart who will say yes to His call. For those who know they are called have to learn to be still and wait until God opens a door and not get discouraged in the process of waiting.

As the Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:24He who calls you is faithful; He will surely do it.
