Season of Change
Personally, this year has been the most challenging year for me balancing motherhood, managing the house all by myself when my husband is away for meetings.
I have to accept that my prayer life did go for a toss at times. Making it worse the enemy seemed to shrewdly use people and words of people to attack my mind and heart.
Howbeit, I believe the Lord took me through this season of tests for a reason. God wanted me to come out stronger. It also made me realize how much I needed to change in certain areas of my life too. In some cases what I thought was my strength turned out to be my weakness.
But it is during the storms that you learn the most powerful lessons in life. Even when I felt I was sinking, felt God being totally silent, yet I knew I was still in the perfect will of Jesus.
I knew I had to walk through the fire to be purified from everything that was not from Jesus. It was not an easy process to go through change but when we allow the Lord to do it, He will do so.
It is painful but it is for the glory of God, to become more like Him and to become matured believers.
It is not enough to become believers of Christ, but God wants us to be matured Christians not only in our walk with God but in our daily life too.
As the verse says, “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” – Romans 12:1-2
I pray that if you are going through a season of change in your character or personal life, you will continue to submit under Him and not become bitter or turn away.
I promise you, you will come out beautiful and glorifying Jesus.
