I was quite sad after my parents left after their short visit to my home.Growing up as a rebellious kid, I never showed or expressed my love to my parents. I always took them for granted. And oftentimes, we do take our loved ones for granted. After coming to Jesus, I began to love them more.

The first thing I did after accepting Jesus into my heart was to phone my dad and mom to apologize for all that I had made them go through. This time as they were leaving following a short visit, I felt really low and terribly missed their pampering. I missed them like never before. Even though my husband was there by my side trying to comfort me, but at times, only God can bring light into our souls. I want to share what the Lord spoke to me as I cried out to Him in prayer.

Isaiah 49:1-4

1 Listen to me, O coastlands,
and give attention, you peoples from afar.
The LORD called me from the womb,
from the body of my mother he named my name.
2 He made my mouth like a sharp sword;
in the shadow of His hand He hid me;
He made me a polished arrow;
in His quiver He hid me away.
3 And He said to me, “You are My servant,
Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”
4 But I said, “I have labored in vain;
I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity;
yet surely my right is with the LORD,
and my recompense with my God.”

This passage focuses on how God is glorified in His children. He knew you before you were born and called you by name from your mother’s womb.

Many times, we face moments of frustration in our lives. You think that you have done so much and yet, there has not been any results. The little abilities you have, you find no value in it. Things just don’t seem to be going right.

But this is what the Lover of your soul says to you:

You might think you are a loser at this moment, but in God’s eyes, you are a warrior with great purpose and future.

Read what God says about you in Isaiah 49:15-18:

15 “Can a woman forget her nursing child,
that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget,
yet I will not forget you.
16 Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands;
your walls are continually before Me.
17 Your builders make haste;
your destroyers and those who laid you waste go out from you.
18 Lift up your eyes around and see;
they all gather, they come to you.
As I live, declares the LORD,
you shall put them all on as an ornament;
you shall bind them on as a bride does.

Are your thoughts about yourself contrary to what the Word of God is saying about you? Is it because you don’t feel loved; or a relationship did not work out; or you are struggling to keep up at your work place or school; or whatever the circumstances may be?

Allow me to tell you, my dear, that this is not the end of the world. You are not alone; God will never forget you. Your security is found in Jesus!

I challenge you to get out of your discouragements. Cling to your Bible. Believe every Word in it. The Word of God will help you fight every lie of the enemy that arises in your mind.

The Lord is with you!

God bless you all, my dear friends!
