Life is so wonderful when we are surrounded with people who would love us sincerely & whom we can count on at all times, but the truth is that there can be times in life when, may be even your best friend, lover, husband, wife or your parent disappoints, discourage or not fully understand you when you are in a hopeless situation…!!!!!
What would you do then?? Whom would we go to???
Putting such dependency on the people around us crushes our heart when they do not understand our problem which then leads us to deeper levels of desperation and loneliness. But we rarely stop to think and figure out why so often we allow ourselves to hit low. Rather I would put it this way, ‘Why does God allow this to happen to us?’ From what i have tasted I’ve realized that God wants all His children to completely rely on Him. From the past few months God has been repetitively teaching me to be dependent on Him alone. And now when the enemy tries to pull my heart down I immediately run to Jesus and experience the kind of comfort that the world cannot give…
Where you run to at the time of panic or troubles shows where you put your trust on. The greatest deception the enemy can bring, is to be dependent on humans who are not stable themselves. There can be friends who understand us and be there for us in life, but we must also understand that Jesus is the only person that keeps the promise that, “HE WILL NEVER LEAVE US NOR FORSAKE US.” That means He is our comfort at all times. Even when we are in the worst of our situation, Jesus is a friend so true who is always by our side & His Holy Spirit is our helper at all times.
Next time u face a desperate situation, don’t jump to your phone, your first reaction should be to call on to Jesus. Make this a habit. God will pour out His comfort & strength through His eternal word. Trust me when I say this, ‘you will never regret relying on God’.
There is another amazing scripture in the Bible in Romans 8:26 where it says “The Holy Spirit helps us in our distress. For we don’t even know what we should pray for, nor how we should pray. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groaning that cannot be expressed in words.” He prays for us. We have a friend who even prays for us during our distressing times.
So let’s trade our sorrow & pain to our best Friend who laid down His life for us… He is a loyal & a true friend who will stick with you forever!!!
