Kathryn my little angel turns one this day. It has been such a wonderful journey with our little one to see her in these precious baby stages and we can’t thank the Lord enough for this gift from God.

Personally, this year has been the most challenging year for me balancing motherhood, managing the house all by myself when my husband is away for meetings.

I have to accept that my prayer life did go for a toss at times. Making it worse the enemy seemed to shrewdly use people and words of people to attack my mind and heart. Continue Reading…

A Chess Lesson

Please welcome our dear friend Jenny Svetec, a mighty women of God from Canada. She’s a prophet who is being mightily used by God to speak His heart to this generation. She is also a part of the SMMinistries branch in Canada.

chessqueenRecently my ten year old son was teaching himself chess on my phone while we enjoyed a rare breakfast at a local diner. As I explained the names and positions of the chess figures, Jon questioned, “Why is the Queen so powerful in chess?”

“The Queen has only one job: to protect the King. She is the most flexible, moves the farthest and can move in any direction because she must protect her King at all cost. The King rules his kingdom only as long as the queen guards her King.”

Even as I was making my simple explanation, my heart awoke to this new revelation of marriage. Continue Reading…

The Secrets of Seeking God

December 17, 2012 — 10 Comments

It’s been sometime since I blogged. I have been trying to adjust to motherhood but I am back and hoping to write whenever I can.

The other day we were reading this book by Charles Finney. I have been very drawn to these people of God who carried God’s glory, especially because of their life outside their conferences. I even recently posted a thought about it on Facebook.

It is very clear how their walk with God was Continue Reading…

This is a guest post by my husband Shyju Mathew

Have you ever felt void? Did not feel like praying. Did not feel like reading the Bible. Did not worry about heaven or hell, angels or the devil, just plain void?

What do you do when there is such vacuum. Someone asked you, “what’s happening” and all you could say was, Continue Reading…

Kathryn and I will be flying home and this will be her first international trip. I was very anxious about getting my tickets to go home as we were finding it very hard to get the tickets on time due to the busy season. The agent said it was impossible to get a ticket within a week. Continue Reading…

Encounter With The Master

August 31, 2012 — 13 Comments

The below two verses caught my attention. I’ve been meditating on these a lot more lately…

“Thus the LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses turned again into the camp, his assistant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent.” Exodus 33:11

“…and then was a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying.” -Luke 2:37 Continue Reading…

The other day I had a friend who was saying how lonely she was and how she doesn’t have any friends. I looked back and realized that when I left the country I grew up in, I was walking down the lonely road. But was I really lonely?

Let’s consider how Jesus walked. Even though Jesus was always surrounded by people, yet He was alone. In the most crucial hour, His disciples couldn’t stay up with Him for an hour.

I want to thank God for all the friends and family. But believe me when I say that there is no one that can understand and love you like our Lord Jesus. Continue Reading…

The other day I came across this video which really shocked, challenged and inspired me. It was about a mother who bore a son who was blind and with a Tessier cleft lip and palate. A cleft lip is a fissure or opening—a gap in the mouth. It is the non-fusion of the body’s natural structures that form before birth.

In the video, the mother is seen talking about how she was anxious about not knowing how to bring up a child who is blind.

From time to time I have those things that bother me that is not godly. The Bible calls it ungodly sorrows.

Let me explain this to you… Continue Reading…
